Bill Taylor is a native of northern California. Educated at the Cal Poly and the California College of Arts and Crafts. He owned and operated a retail flower shop, Taylor’s of Sonoma, for sixteen years. Clients of his shop for whom he created flowers included the Disney Family, Robin Williams and other celebrities.
Taylor has presented design shows in forty-two states, three Canadian provinces and four American Institute of Floral Design National Symposia. He has taught floral design at numerous colleges and universities in the United States and Canada for over twenty years. He has also taught classes in floral design internationally in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and Malaysia. His designs have appeared in national and floral trade publications including Flowers&, PFD and Florist Review. Taylor has worked on Presidential Inaugurals and the New Year’s Day Rose Parades. He has also created designs for several opening nights of the San Francisco Opera. In addition, Taylor has worked in product development for the Knud Nielsen Co, Syndicate Sales, Design Master and several American import companies.
Mr. Taylor has been a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers for twenty-five years. During that time he has served on numerous committees, chaired several symposia and served as the Institute’s President. Taylor was made a “Fellow�? of the American Institute of Floral Designers Institute, the highest honor bestowed on any member of the Institute.
Taylor is currently employed at A.A. Importing, Inc. as Director of Product Development.
